Overview
A leading global alternative asset manager that’s experiencing significant growth across its credit platform is looking to add a Manager to their Credit Valuations team. The firm manages hundreds of billions in AUM across yield, hybrid, and equity strategies, and is known for its long‑term, innovative approach to investing.
They’re currently looking for a Manager/Associate Director within their Valuations team, focused on private credit portfolio valuation and related public company reporting. This is a newly created role with high visibility and direct interaction with investment teams, finance, and senior leadership. It’s an exciting chance to help shape new valuation processes and frameworks within one of the industry’s most sophisticated platforms.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
Additional Compensation Annual Bonus and RSUs
Compensation Total Base + Bonus Range: $200K - $225K
Location & Schedule New York, NY — Hybrid schedule (3 days in office)
Responsibilities
Lead the development and enhancement of a robust daily valuation process focused on private assets within the credit space, covering multiple product types and strategies.
Design, implement, and support daily valuation methodologies for private assets in collaboration with key internal stakeholders.
Review and evaluate trading and market activity, including comparisons to existing valuations and methodologies. Partner with portfolio managers, traders, and deal teams to discuss market trends, provide insights, and promote valuation best practices.
Manage valuation risk and perform analytical reviews across the private credit portfolio.
Oversee governance and execution of the valuation process, ensuring transparency and alignment with both internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with investment teams to assess new investments and validate deal assumptions.
Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Requirements
5+ Years of Credit Valuation Experience from a Fund, Bank, Public Accounting Firm, or 3rd Party.
