Role Summary Mobile Software Engineers help shape the Android applications that power secure, seamless payments for millions of users. Working with designers, product managers, and engineering peers, you will build scalable, high‑quality mobile experiences, write clean, efficient code, and participate in agile development and code reviews.
Essential Responsibilities
Implement tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and receive guidance from senior staff.
Follow well‑established internal conventions and standard procedures.
Understand internal standards and processes, applying them to technical decisions.
Collaborate with peers, managers, and project leads to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions.
Contribute to code and design reviews.
Additional Responsibilities
Develop Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
Leverage core Android components such as Activities, Fragments, and ViewModels.
Integrate RESTful APIs and JSON data into mobile applications.
Work with product, design, and data science teams to deliver innovative, customer‑first solutions.
Apply best practices in code quality, performance optimization, accessibility, and secure mobile app development.
Actively learn new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Basic proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java with understanding of Android development principles.
Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and core Android components.
Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and data integration in mobile apps.
Team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern Android libraries such as Jetpack, Compose, or Retrofit.
Comfortable with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows.
Exposure to testing frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso.
Interest in performance optimization, accessibility, and secure mobile app development.
Enthusiasm for continuous learning and contributing to team growth.
