This hybrid onsite/remote role reports to the USPTO EBC in Greenville, SC, with flexible work-from-home options based on business needs. Our Customers Mission:
The USPTO Electronic Business Center (EBC) offers customer service and technical support for Patent and Trademark electronic systems, aiming to provide clear, intuitive solutions to facilitate stakeholder navigation and understanding of the systems. An average day:
As Deputy Program Manager, you will organize, direct, and coordinate program planning, oversight, and implementation, working closely with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams. Using your project management skills, you will ensure successful program execution with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities include: Managing daily operations for tasks, projects, or programs. Ensuring work performance, completeness, and accuracy to meet objectives. Managing scope, deliverables, and milestones. Leading teams of Epsilon and subcontractor employees. Tracking deliverables, documentation, and compliance on time and within budget. Providing team direction and reviewing work quality. Leading staffing, planning, financials, and oversight. Maintaining client relationships. Ensuring workforce training and certification. Supporting business development and proposals. Submitting required reports and monitoring work hours and timecards. Basic Qualifications:
U.S. citizenship or legal status, with residence in the U.S. for the last two years. Bachelors degree with 3+ years in project/program management. Strong leadership and communication skills. 1-3 years in a contact/call center leadership role (desired). Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of the technology industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps). PMP and ITIL v4 certifications are desirable. Other Requirements:
Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain security clearance or Public Trust. Potential team management responsibilities. Willingness to travel 25-50% across U.S. Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Prolonged computer work, manual dexterity, speaking and hearing for communication. Ability to learn, remember, focus, and make decisions under pressure.
