We’re looking for a Product Owner who thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment and can take ownership of the roadmap, user stories, and delivery of our mobile applications.
This position is 100% remote with Mayvue's office in Pittsburgh, PA.
Role Overview
As the Product Owner you will own the Scope or “What” in delivery and be representing the voice of the customer for Mayvue’s mobile solutions. You’ll work closely with delivery teams, including project managers, engineers, designers, QA, and client stakeholders to define features, prioritize the backlog, and ensure we deliver innovative products that exceed expectations.
You’ll translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and user feedback into actionable development plans while ensuring products align with Mayvue’s vision of transforming infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
· Product Strategy & Roadmap
Own the roadmap for Mayvue’s mobile solutions
Balance short-term delivery with long-term vision
Align mobile/inspection products with broader Mayvue suite and DOT client needs
· Intake, Backlog Ownership & Prioritization
Partner with Project Management and leadership to validate incoming requests, confirm priorities and ensure alignment with business goals
Own, maintain and prioritize the product backlog, capturing and refining customer needs and requirements
Translate customer requirements into clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
Ensure features deliver measurable client and business value
· Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the connection between stakeholders, customers and delivery teams, ensuring that needs are understood and prioritized
Translates customer requirements into epics, features, and user stories
Gather feedback from DOT clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
Represent the product during client demos, roadmap sessions, and conferences
· Delivery & Execution
Collaborate daily with project managers, engineering and QA teams to align on scope, track progress, and build a shared understanding to ensure smooth development cycles
Partner with project managers and engineering to align scope, estimates, risks, and milestones
Participating in Agile Ceremonies (standup, refinement, demos, retros) as the voice of the customer
Support Change Control by raising and validating scope changes
Facilitate backlog grooming sessions with engineering to refine stories, update acceptance criteria, confirm estimates and ensure work is ready for sprint planning
Validate product increments and ensure they meet quality standards
Define test plans, UAT, and obtain customer validations

Monitor product performance, adoption, and customer satisfaction
Identify opportunities for innovation
Stay ahead of mobile and inspection technology trends
Qualifications
· Required
3-5 years of professional experience in roles such as project manager, business analyst, or other client facing delivery focused work
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable tasks (stories/requirements)
Strong organizational skills with experience managing competing priorities and deadlines
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent communication skills, with ability to translate technical detail into business context
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
· Preferred
Strong background with mobile applications and/or field inspection platforms
Experience with transportation, infrastructure, or asset management software
Familiarity with government clients (State DOTs, AASHTO, municipalities)
Knowledge of inspection workflows, offline mobile sync, and SaaS solutions
Technical background or ability to understand APIs, integrations, and mobile development constraints
