Overview As a Starlight Strays Sanctuary Feline Foster Volunteer, you will support our mission by caring for cats or kittens until they are ready for adoption. By opening your home to one or more animals, you will be playing a critical role in the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of felines in need. Responsibilities Transport Animals:

Safely transport cats to and from shelters, foster homes, veterinary clinics, and adoption events if possible. Transportation may also be coordinated with other rescue volunteers. Animal Care:

Provide all necesssary daily care, including cleaning the litter box and other areas, replenishing food, ensuring access to fresh water, and administering any medications. Socialization:

Help your fosters adjust and trust by spending time with them. This could include petting, grooming, sharing a space, or playing together. Monitoring:

Observe, record, and report health and behavioral changes in accordance with instructions provided by Starlight Strays Sanctuary. Supply Requests:

All supplies are provided to support the cat(s) in their foster homes. Requests for additional supplies should be communicated in advance when possible to allow time for a transport / shipping. Social Media Support:

Provide photos and / or videos to be published on our social media channels to help animals find their forever homes. Requirements Application:

Must be at least 18 years old. Vehicle:

Your vehicle must be reliable and capable of safely accommodating animal carriers if you will be assisting with any transport. Driver's License / Insurance:

A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are required if you will be assisting with any transport. Animal Experience:

Previous experience handling or caring for animals, particularly cats, is preferred. Communication Skills:

Must be comfortable communicating with rescue team members. Physical Ability:

Ability to lift and move animal carriers and supplies (up to 20 pounds). Empathy and Compassion:
