Gateway Alliance Against Human Trafficking (GAHT)
Location: St. Louis, MO | Full-Time, Exempt | Remote in STL area
About the Organization Gateway Alliance Against Human Trafficking is a St. Louis–based nonprofit committed to educating communities and inspiring systemic change to end human trafficking. We deliver prevention education in schools, provide community outreach, and collaborate with local organizations to strengthen awareness and response efforts throughout the region.
About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nonprofit leader passionate about social justice, community engagement, and education initiatives. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to grow impact, ensure financial sustainability, and advance GAHT’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Lead organizational strategy, operations, and growth in partnership with the Board of Directors.
Oversee human trafficking prevention and education programs for schools and communities.
Manage fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, and special events.
Build partnerships with government agencies, schools, and community organizations.
Supervise staff and contractors, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Serve as spokesperson and advocate to increase awareness and policy changes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, education, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of nonprofit leadership or executive management experience.
Proven success in grant writing, fundraising, and program development.
Strong communication, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills.
Passion for ending human trafficking and promoting community education.
