Talent Consultants
Talent Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Perfusionist to join our specialized surgical team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heart-lung machines and other perfusion equipment during cardiac surgical procedures, ensuring the optimal support of patients' cardiovascular systems. Your expertise will be critical in managing hemodynamic stability and safeguarding patient outcomes throughout surgery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform intraoperative perfusion techniques during cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repairs, and heart transplants.
Monitor and assess hemodynamic and metabolic status of patients throughout surgical procedures.
Utilize advanced perfusion equipment, ensuring its proper maintenance, calibration, and functionality.
Administer medications, blood products, and fluids as per protocols during perfusion procedures.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to optimize patient care and surgical outcomes.
Participate in the development and implementation of perfusion protocols and quality assurance programs.
Provide education and training to staff regarding perfusion practices and emergent procedures.
Qualifications
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Perfusion Technology or a related field.
Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) is required.
Current and Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist, preferably in an acute care setting.
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to function effectively in high-stress environments.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development in the field of perfusion.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
