Schedule Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with MS/Tele specialty to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic and trauma care, specializing in pre-op and post-op orthopedic patients, including elective surgeries and trauma cases. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient load of approximately 1:6-7, using Epic for charting and documentation.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, particularly in orthopedic and trauma care.
Administer medications and provide treatment as prescribed, including IV therapy and blood product administration.
Monitor patient conditions through cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
Conduct thorough assessments of pre-op and post-op orthopedic patients.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting with telemetry experience required.
ACLS and BLS certifications. ACLS is preferred.
Experience in trauma, orthopedic care, and use of rapid response teams is essential.
Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy, including PICC line management and blood product administration.
Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
