is seeking a full time Experienced Veterinary Assistant / Registered Vet Technician to join the team at our AAHA accredited, full-service hospital in Granada Hills, CA. Compensation: $23.00 - $27.00 / hr. Based on experience. Shift differential Friday-Sunday. Our facility has been serving the community since the 60's. Chatoak's talented team of medical professionals are dedicated to delivering high quality patient care to cats & dogs. We have cultivated a compassionate, motivated culture and are seeking a like-minded technician to join the family and fulfill that mission. As a member of the VCA Chatoak team, you will support vet assistants and Doctor Teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parentby delivering an outstanding client experienceso we can provide exceptional care to every patient. You've worked hard for your credentials and we want you to use the knowledge that you've invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: Physical examinations and patient assessment Anesthesia monitoring Surgical preparation and assisting Laboratory work Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, IV fluid therapy Catheter placement Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals All aspects of patient care Animal handling and restraint IM, IV,SQ injections Dental cleanings/dental radiography Digital radiography Nursing care/hospitalization treatments Client communication Why Join the VCA Family?
