HonorVet Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a local contract nursing job in Detroit, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/17/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Henry Ford Detroit Campus Required Positions and Shifts One (1) Night Shift Position: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM Two (2) Day Shift Positions: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM Note: Candidates must specify which shift they are applying for. Candidate Requirements Preferred Experience: Experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred, but experience at a Level 2 Trauma Center is required and will be accepted. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department. TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Pediatric Certification (One of the following): PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) OR ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) Description/Roles & Responsibilities: Preferred Experience: Experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred, but experience at a Level 2 Trauma Center is required and will be accepted. Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment to patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries. Prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Initiate and administer IV fluids, medications, and emergency interventions as ordered. Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment. Assist physicians during emergency procedures such as intubations, central line insertions, and wound care. Perform and interpret basic diagnostic tests, including ECGs and point-of-care testing. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and radiology staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
