Cnc Mill Machinist
Insight Global is looking for a CNC Mill Machinist to work for an end client in West Chicago, IL. This person will be responsible for operating and setting up the CNC milling machines for projects relating to sustainability and new product development. This position will be five days a week from 7am to 3:30pm. This person will be requested to work overtime on a case by case basis. They will be responsible for starting the mills, adjusting controls, and making trial cuts to ensure proper accuracy. He/she will be able to determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints and work orders. The operator feeds doors into CNC machine to produce desired routing and adjust CNC machine tables or cutting devices and set controls to produce specified cuts or operations. These operators are also responsible for monitoring operation of the CNC machine and adjusting machines to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications. He/she will inspect and mark completed work pieces and stack them on pallets, so that they can be moved to the next workstation. They will take ownership of verifying quality of all completed products and monitors production. Skills and Requirements: At least five years of work experience with CNC Mills as a machinist (Yamazaki Mazak, Okuma, Haas, DMG Mori, MAG, Hardinge, Trumpf, AMADA, or Nidek) Strong understanding of X,Y, & Z codes CNC Milling experience Mastercam experience Ability to read blue prints and schematics Machining experience: Set up, operating, off sets, inputting G & M codes, adjusting controls, working with multiple tools Strong attention to detail regarding mathematical calculations and measurements Sufficient understanding of machine tool programming CAM software knowledge: (Gibbscam, Master CAM, CADCAM, SolidCAM) Molding and Tooling experience Supervisory or leadership experience
