The Provider Relations Manager California is an integral contributor in developing and maintaining provider networks for AHFs Medicare and Medi-Cal managed care plans and certain Ryan White medical subspecialty programs. The PR Manager is primarily responsible for network development and coordinating with interdepartmental leaders to facilitate network expansion, education, and regulatory compliance strategies and tactical plans. The PR Manager serves as a liaison to providers (including physicians, hospital, and/or ancillary providers) with a primary focus on primary care/infectious disease providers. He/she coordinates with internal AHF departments to manage cohesive, productive, and efficient service delivery through education, training, and representation of AHFs managed care plans and other internal departments. Under the director of the Plan Administrator and Care Management Division Leadership, the PR Manager executes the organizations provider recruitment and retention strategy and tactical plan. To keep the Care Management Divisions Health Plan in compliance with network adequacy standards, the PR Manager conducts ongoing analysis of the networks in terms of time and distance (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) requirements). He or she also compares the networks Geo Access reports for primary and specialty care and facilities against the DHCS and CMS time and distance standards. Where deficiencies are found, the PR Manager works with Contracting and Provider Relations staff members and colleagues to identify providers with whom the organization can contract and works to recruit these providers and facilitate provider relations activities. The PR Manager is immersed in the entire provider relations and network expansion. The PR Manager is the face of AHF in the field and works with Care Management Division Leadership, Sales, and Clinical representatives to identify recruitment targets and maintain the existing network. He/she relays provider feedback from the field to Care Management Division Leadership so it can proactively address any trends or concerns about enrollment strategy and plan operations. AHF Commitment
