to help streamline compliance, optimize cross-border shipments, and ensure our international operations run smoothly and efficiently. Location
This is an on-site position based in Fife, WA, USA. Schedule
Full-time, MondayFriday. Typical business hours apply, with occasional flexibility required for international shipment coordination. Compensation
Base pay: $27$34 per hour, commensurate with experience. About The Job
The
Import/Export Specialist
will optimize our international shipping and trade operations. This role ensures compliance with global trade regulations, coordinates logistics, and maintains accurate documentation for all import and export activities. In This Role, You Will Coordinate and manage the import and export of goods in compliance with international trade laws and company policies. Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure timely shipment clearance. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or discrepancies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements. Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing of all import/export documentation. Collaborate with internal teams such as procurement, logistics, and finance to improve operational efficiency. Assist in developing strategies to reduce costs and enhance international shipping processes. Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with trade regulations. Provide support during customs inspections and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities.

Bachelors degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred). 3+ years of experience in import/export operations or international logistics. Strong understanding of global trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures. Proficiency with ERP systems and logistics software. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desired Certification in international trade or customs compliance (e.g., CUSECO, CCS). Strong math and analytical abilities, including computing fees, tariffs, and currency conversions. Ability to respond to urgent requests and manage communication with diverse internal and external partners. Proven professionalism, problem-solving skills, and attention to accuracy in documentation.
