Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software and computing systems software to be applied to, and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements. Generate processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, military range pilot training and display systems. Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026. Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree. Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026. Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Preferred Qualifications:

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher. It will be helpful, though not required, for your course work to have included: Development Languages such as C/C++, Python, Ada, and/or Primary Operating Systems such as Linux, Windows, VxWorks, and/or Agile Development using Jira and GitHub, and/or Embedded Software, Object Oriented Design, GUI Development using Qt, GPU GSL & CUDA, Web Design Intern Pay Range: Bachelor's: $18.75 to $34.50 per hour Master's: $27.00 to $42.50 per hour Northrop Grumman is an Equal Opportunity Employer, making decisions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected class.
