Production Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing/Fabrication Equipment (Charlotte Area)

We are looking for a knowledgeable Maintenance Technician who would be responsible for performing many duties in a fabrication plant environment, including troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of production and fabrication equipment along with facility maintenance that supports the overall business goals and objectives. Responsibilities
Perform regular preventative maintenance on manufacturing and fabrication machines, equipment and fabrication plant facilities Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production and fabrication equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs at normal intervals Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas As needed respond to maintenance calls on second shift as well (after regular hours) Machinery maintained includes overhead cranes, welding machines, foot pedals, grinders, D/C drives, conveyer belts, saws, forklifts, mobile cranes Qualifications
Associate degree in Mechanical Technologies or equivalent experience in Industrial maintenance processes and administration Experience troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of production equipment Experience in a fabrication plant environment preferred Experience with industrial electrical systems and repairs Able to use tools and equipment such as overhead cranes, welding machines, foot pedals, grinders, D/C drives, conveyer belts, mobile cranes, saws, power tools, and material handling equipment Controls Southeast Inc. is a unit within AMETEK's Process and Analytical Instruments Division, a leader in analyzers, monitors and other instruments used by oil, gas, chemical/petrochemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, factory automation and other process industries.
