Product Manager, Payments
Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Product Manager, Payments to join our client's team. Your Role: As a Product Manager on the Payments Product Team, you will be part of company-wide initiatives to build the next generation of payment capabilities to support omni-channel client experiences, payment processing optimization, and the integration of new technologies. You will focus on growing as a payment leader in the retail industry by driving a coherent product strategy and innovating with the goal of increasing client lifetime value, while aligning to industry security and compliance standards. In this role you will support credit card processing, native payments such as online credit and invoicing as well as alternative payments like PayPal, Afterpay, Klarna, Digital Wallets, and more. Responsibilities: Drive cross-functional teams comprised of both business and technical roles during the product development lifecycle; champion the needs of clients; develop detailed requirements and feature definitions; partner with IT on development, testing & implementation plans, as well as internal communications & deployment plans. Work with both business stakeholders and technical teams like Front End/Back End/Middleware Engineering, QA, Data, Architecture, as well as PMO, UX, Finance, Analytics, Client Services, and more. Collaborate with internal business partners to refine requirements and define enhancements, creating buy-in from other teams as necessary. Assess scope, document requirements, use case/user scenario, test case plans and design specifications, in partnership with UX, product managers, QA, and IT. Proactively identify issues. Work closely with key business leaders at senior levels. Identify and communicate areas of uncertainty, recommend solutions, gather buy-in from relevant stakeholders, shepherd features through development, and provide support at launch. Develop metrics to measure success of program features, analyze results, and partner across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations. Qualifications: 3+ years' experience in product management or software development, preferably for payment or finance eCommerce products with a large user base. Experience managing third party vendors and vendor negotiation in partnership with business teams. Deep understanding of digital payments technology and trends. In-depth payment processing knowledge. Experience working on both technical platforms and user-facing features. Strong drive and curiosity to come up with new ideas, identify opportunities, and move the business forward. Exceptional presentation and communication skills. We're excited about you if you have: Prior experience in a multi-channel retail environment or other customer-focused technology products. Experience with complex payment integrations. Strong technical background is nice to have, but more importantly they have a willingness to learn. Experience with payment analytics and relevant tools such as ThoughtSpot.
