My client are a succesful general contractor who have undertaken significant growth since their initial inception.
One of their key focuses is within the Multi-Family sector where they work on large scale projects of 250 units+.
They are currently looking for a Senior Superintendent for a large scale project in the Orlando area.
Key Duties:
Site Leadership & Safety Management
Enforce and champion a rigorous jobsite safety program, conducting daily safety inspections, leading weekly Toolbox Talks, and ensuring all trade partners strictly adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols. Directly supervise and manage all on-site personnel, including subordinate Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and trade partners, assigning daily tasks and holding teams accountable for performance. Develop, implement, and manage complex
Site Logistics Plans , including traffic flow, material storage, temporary utilities, and crane/hoisting operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal disruption. Proactively identify potential construction risks, schedule conflicts, and site challenges, developing and implementing effective solutions in collaboration with the Project Manager. Work closely with the Project Manager to refine, own, and enforce the
Master CPM Schedule . Develop and issue detailed
Three-Week Look-Ahead Schedules
to all trade partners to ensure continuous workflow. Implement and oversee a formal QA/QC program across all trades, conducting regular inspections to ensure all work meets contract specifications, plans, and regulatory codes (e.g., building, fire, ADA). Manage the entire municipal inspection process, coordinating required third-party and jurisdictional inspections and ensuring rapid sign-off for temporary and final Certificates of Occupancy (COs). Lead daily subcontractor huddle meetings and weekly coordination meetings to synchronize trades, resolve conflicts, and expedite production flow, particularly at critical path milestones (e.g., structure completion, rough-in, drywall close-in). Act as the primary field-level liaison between the Project Management team, design consultants, owners, and trade partners. Ensure all critical field documentation is accurately captured, including daily reports, site photos, safety reports, and maintaining accurate
As-Built Drawings . Collaborate with the Project Manager to expedite responses to RFIs, submittals, and change requests, preventing delays in the field. Actively mentor and train junior field staff (Assistant Superintendents and Project Engineers) on site management, safety standards, scheduling techniques, and trade coordination, preparing them for increased responsibility. Continuously seek out and recommend improvements to field operations, construction methods, and scheduling processes to enhance company-wide efficiency and delivery.
Key Experience: Minimum of
10+ years
of progressive experience as a Superintendent, with at least
5 years
specifically managing large-scale,
ground-up multi-family or mixed-use construction
projects (ideally over $40M). Deep expertise in multi-family systems, including wood-frame, concrete podium, structural steel, and complex MEP/FP systems. Certifications:
OSHA 30-Hour
certification required. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. Advanced knowledge of construction management software ( Procore, CMiC, etc. ), scheduling software ( Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project ), and Bluebeam for field review. Personal Attributes:
Exceptional leadership, verbal communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment.
