Corporate Treasury Manager
The Corporate Treasury Manager will oversee and execute key Treasury Department functions in liquidity management and reporting, debt management, investment portfolio management, risk mitigation, and key accounting activities associated with Treasury transactions. In addition, this individual may be involved in other treasury related analytical projects as required. The individual will report to the Treasury Director. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Liquidity Management Responsible for global cash forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity and identify liquidity trends in the U.S. and overseas operations. Coordinate with the Financial Planning & Analysis group to further develop and maintain an accurate cash flow forecast. Responsible for management and implementation of treasury workstation modules. Investment Policy and Investment Management Maintain and ensure compliance with corporate investment policy. Oversee daily investment decisions to ensure properly balance risk/return and compliance with corporate investment policy. Manage and direct third party investment managers, as applicable. Debt Management and Compliance Manage all debt, including covenant compliance, payment of interest, principal amortization, principal pre-payments, loan assignments and tracking of investor holdings. Arrange credit as needed, including letters of credit, FX trading limits and bank guarantees. Participate in rating agencies' projects and perform financial ratio analysis to monitor performance vs established rating agency financial metrics. Financial Risk Management Monitor and hedge, as appropriate, global interest rate, diesel fuel and foreign exchange exposures, documenting and communicating underlying risks, hedge strategies and scenario analysis. Manage execution all foreign exchange transactions Contract and Relationship Management Manage and negotiate banking services with financial institutions Monitor banking and counterparty exposures, as well as banking fees to ensure that they are appropriate for the services received. Implement new banking and financial services products and services Financial Analysis Budget, forecast, and analyze Treasury related Operating accounts Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives Perform strategic investment analysis and cash flow projections Responsible for managing and reporting on key department metrics Process Improvement and Regulatory Compliance Identify opportunities and industry best practices to improve operational treasury processes Lead issue resolution and participate in discussions with Family Dollar operation teams and financial institutions Maintain accurate SOX documentation and financial audit work papers Ensure compliance with Dodd-Frank, as applicable Leadership and Personnel Development Supervise daily activities of Treasury Analyst and Treasury Accountant Ensure professional development of associates Perform selection, termination and performance appraisal for associates Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, BA/BS in Finance or Accounting preferred 10 years experience in a financial discipline Excellent communication and leadership skills Excellent analytical skills Excellent planning and organization skills Excellent associate development skills Intermediate level query, electronic spreadsheet, word processing, and graphics software experience Desired Qualifications: CPA, CTP, MBA or related certifications Previous banking or treasury experience
