Second Shift Assembler

You will be the Assembler for the Sensors and Integration Test Center at our Orlando, FL facility. As an Assembler, you will play a key role in our team by performing assembly functions on mechanical hardware and ensuring that parts meet quality standards. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assembling mechanical components according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring precision and quality. Verifying the conformance of parts using a variety of measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Collaborating with engineering teams to build, modify, and repair tooling to meet production needs. Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and "D" weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement. Basic Qualifications Prior experience with mechanical/mechanic assembly using blueprints, measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Use of various hand tools. Must have the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required where applicable, visual acuity required to 20/20 with corrective lenses. The ability to read and utilize process plans, sketches, photographs and data to outline the work to be performed. This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and "D" weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement. Desired Skills General measuring and inspection experience. Experience with interpretation and application of GD&T, ANSI, and military specifications. Technical training, apprenticeship, more than 5 years experience in general/precision assembly techniques. Set-up and layout that would be typical of an assembler having 5 years of experience or more in assembly related work. Structural assembly. Riveting experience. Helicoil insertion. Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and "D" weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
