Commercial Sourcing Manager, ODM Sourcing
The ISCE (Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering) organization manages the entire supply chain and engineering efforts related to Meta's infrastructure, including the sourcing and procurement of data center equipment, network hardware, compute racks, and services, as well as inventory management and supply chain risk management. The ODM commercial sourcing (CSM) team is part of Meta's Global Technology Sourcing (GTS) team within the Infrastructure Supply Chain Engineering (ISCE) organization. The ODM CSM leads the supplier strategy and commercial relationship for Meta's AI, NW, C&S L10/L11 platform design, development, and manufacturing engagements with Meta's data center infrastructure suppliers. The team is responsible for cost, contract, and overall supplier relationship management. The leader in this role will own the commercial relationship and supply agreements for the assigned ODM design partners and manufacturers of compute, storage, and AI platforms. Together with numerous internal partners, you will develop sourcing strategies that address the unique needs of supply chain and manufacturing at hyperscale to ensure the timely delivery of quality infrastructure products globally. Responsibilities
Strategy: Responsible for the supplier and sourcing strategy for the assigned technology. Collaborate with peers in the development of short and long term strategy to achieve preferential service, pricing, and terms Business Development: Lead the RFP/RFI/RFQ process, evaluating supplier proposal, supplier selection mechanism, NPI business award process, negotiations, and associated contracts / statement of work Market Intelligence: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers' operational team and executive leadership Leadership: Drive strategic discussions with Meta's executives and business partners. Be the leader that demonstrates extreme ownership and leverage supply chain expertise to provide solutions Execution: Be the point of escalation to resolve all commercial, supplier performance, contractual, and relationship issues for the assigned technology. Lead / participate in supplier business reviews and leverage supplier scorecard mechanism Externally: Influence supplier business models, roadmaps, and support structure to ensure Meta's commercial and technical requirements are met Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in a related engineering discipline, supply chain, or equivalent experience 12+ years of progressive supply chain experience with 5+ years experience in data center, hyperscalers, cloud service providers, compute, or AI system hardware supply chain Experience with AI/Compute & Storage L6/L10/L12 manufacturing in ODM/OEM/CM/JDM model Experience working with contractual agreements such as MSA, MPA, and SOW Proven track record in managing Asia-based supply chains and building supplier relationships In depth understanding of ODM cost structures, should cost models, and design for value trade-offs Experience in supplier evaluation, selection, management, predictive cost modeling, and contract negotiations Experience with driving decisions guided by analyzing data, cost models, and total cost of ownership Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a wide latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources Interpersonal and communication skills, with experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key strategic decisions Preferred Qualifications
MS degree in a related engineering discipline, supply chain, or equivalent experience 15+ years of business or supply chain experience in the data center, cloud service providers, Compute, or AI system server and hardware supply chain and associated industries 5+ years of experience with directly managing commercial relationship for AI, Compute and Storage L10 server manufacturing in ODM/OEM/CM/JDM model Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives of suppliers/partner in the AI/C&S L10 server manufacturing Knowledge on the ODM/CM/OEM landscape, market, players, business models
