Scrum Master
Onsite in Burbank, CA The Scrum Master plays a critical role in enabling cross-functional corporate teams to deliver business solutions efficiently, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. This leader champions Agile processes, facilitates Scrum ceremonies, eliminates blockers, and guides teams on best practices to achieve strategic goals within The Walt Disney Company's corporate functions. Rate: $76 - $86 / hr. w2 Responsibilities:
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring productive and focused sessions. Empower one or more Agile teams working on cross-functional or enterprise-level initiatives in Corporate business areas (e.g., Finance, HR, Procurement, Legal). Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine product vision, backlog, and priorities, ensuring business outcomes are clearly understood. Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum best practices, driving adoption and consistency across the organization. Identify, document, and eliminate impediments to team progress, working directly with leadership or other teams as needed. Track and report team progress, velocity, and key metrics, providing transparency to leadership and optimizing delivery. Drive continuous improvement, facilitating a culture of open feedback, experimentation, and learning. Ensure teams align with security, compliance, and corporate standards in everything they deliver. Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among cross-functional teams and departments. Experience Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or related project management role; experience with large, matrixed organizations preferred. Proven track record of successfully supporting Agile teams in a corporate function (Sourcing, Finance, Operations, etc.). In-depth experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and coaching teams in Agile principles. Strong skills in collaboration, conflict resolution, and servant leadership. Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Azure DevOps). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale. Advanced Agile certifications (A-CSM, CSP-SM, PMI-ACP) a plus. Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) required.
