Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machine Buildersfor projects located in and around the Grand Rapids, MI area. This is a full time opportunity, with a pay range of up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Machine Builder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope: Assemble machines using both machined and purchased componentsBuild and wire junction boxes and connect electrical componentsRead and interpret blueprints and schematicsPerform precision measurements and use appropriate measuring toolsUse basic hand tools and power tools for assembly and fittingSafely operate shop equipment including:Drill pressSmall millBand sawPerform light welding and fabrication tasks as neededRig and move heavy components using overhead cranes and forklifts2+ years of machine building experienceBasic understanding of mechanical and electrical schematicsProficient in measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Knowledge of welding and fabrication processesExperience with heavy rigging and safe material handling practicesAbility to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranesBasic hand toolsTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
