The
Weekend Welder
will fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using
welding, cutting, shaping, and measuring tools
This role requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to read and interpret
blueprints
to ensure high-quality production output.
Duties & Responsibilities
Fabricate metal components needed for production. Manually weld fabricated parts. Execute overhead, horizontal, vertical, and continuous welds with precision. Perform MIG welding operations on steel components. Properly set up and calibrate welding equipment for each unit. Read, interpret, and follow engineering blueprints and technical drawings. Operate machinery, tools, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently. Meet or exceed production targets as established by supervisors. Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work area. Ensure all components are correctly fitted and aligned before welding. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Participate in cross-training and assist in other areas as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Foreman or Production Manager. Required Qualifications
Proven ability to perform high-quality welding in a manufacturing environment. Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Must pass a welding test as part of the hiring process. Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree in welding or another related field. Certification in blueprint reading or equivalent coursework. Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Compensation
