Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Analyze financial data to assist in budget, forecasting, and variance reporting, providing insights to support business strategies and decisions. Recording financial transactions and ensuring all entries are accurate Assist preparing for annual audits and tax return preparation Accounting, investment reconciliation, and financial reporting for The Moody Endowment Support documentation and processing of grants approved by The Moody Endowment Grant activity reporting and reconciliation Serve as subject matter expert for accounting team members Other duties as needed by the CFO Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding and application of GAAP theory and practices Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met on a consistent basis Ability to operate basic office equipment Experience working with Sage Intacct accounting software Experience with investment accounting and fund reconciliations. Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, required Master's degree in accounting, preferred Experience:
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, required Minimum of 7 years accounting experience preferred DEMANDS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK, EQUIPMENT USAGE, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT. PERCENTAGE OF WORK TIME (1-33%)

The ability to judge distance and space relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are they actually are. Accommodation - adjustment of the lens of the eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This item is especially important when doing nearpoint work at varying distances from the eye.
