Role Overview

We are hiring an SVP, Global Social & Digital Platforms Strategy, Streaming Marketing for HBO Max. This leader will be a visionary strategic and creative leader for our Social team within Streaming Marketing, accomplishing nothing less than solidifying HBO Max's position as the platform where the world's greatest stories live. This pivotal role requires an individual with a strong passion for storytelling, a keen eye for culture, a deep understanding of brand identity, and a tireless drive for creative excellence. Primarily, the leader will: Drive the global social media vision for HBO Max, developing strategies that align with HBO Max's brand goals and growth ambitions. Set the tone for social content and engagement across all platforms, ensuring brand consistency while adapting for regional differences. Serve as a thought partner and advisor to senior executives on all matters related to social media strategy and its integration with overall business and marketing goals. Influence high-level decision-making through data-driven insights and creative foresight. Develop and implement a comprehensive creator roadmap to align influencer partnerships with brand objectives and long-term growth strategy. Lead the ideation, development, and implementation of innovative, high-impact global social campaigns that elevate the brand. Collaborate closely with the Creative and Marketing Strategy teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and execution across all creative formats. Build the global social media footprint of HBO Max with a focus on increasing brand resonance across international markets. Champion a global-local balance, ensuring that global campaigns can be effectively localized to meet cultural and market-specific needs. Lead, mentor, and inspire a global team of social media strategists, creatives, and regional heads. Cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning by modeling our guiding principles and setting the people strategy for the function. Build and maintain strong relationships with key platform partners (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, etc.), ensuring opportunities for early access to new features, tools, and insights. Oversee the creation of compelling, culturally relevant brand social content that strengthens audience engagement and loyalty. Leverage storytelling to enhance the emotional connection between our global audience and our content. Define key metrics for social success globally. Build a robust reporting framework that provides clear insights into social performance, campaign impact, audience growth, and ROI. Use data to continuously refine strategy and optimize content performance. Establish protocols for social media risk and reputation management, ensuring the brand is protected during potential crises or sensitive cultural moments. Work closely with content, creative, brand, product, PR, and media teams to ensure social strategies support business objectives, content releases, and user engagement goals. Align with internal teams to support all global marketing initiatives and launches. Qualifications

15+ years of social media, digital marketing, or related experience, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership capacity, driving global strategies for multinational brands. A proven track record of owning large-scale social ecosystems with a focus on both brand and performance. Extensive experience in the entertainment, streaming, or media industries with a deep understanding of the global content and digital landscape. Experience navigating the complexities of launching campaigns across diverse regions. Exceptional ability to blend creativity with strategic thinking, translating brand goals into groundbreaking social strategies. A forward-looking mindset to identify industry shifts and maintain the brand's competitive edge. Proven experience working with C-suite executives and managing relationships with senior stakeholders across global functions. Ability to influence key decisions at the highest level. Deep experience working across multiple international markets, with a nuanced understanding of regional social media usage, cultural trends, and content consumption behaviors. Strong command of data analytics and measurement frameworks. Ability to translate performance metrics into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. A visionary with a keen eye for design, content creation, and storytelling, ensuring that HBO Max's social media presence consistently delivers best-in-class experiences. Skilled at managing high-pressure situations and handling public relations crises with agility, professionalism, and brand sensitivity. A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, constantly seeking out ways to innovate and disrupt in the social media space. Highly accomplished leadership ability towards achieving the highest standards of team performance including attracting and developing diverse talent and delivering break-through team results. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $266,000.00 - $494,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
