Job Description
The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phase of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients in an LDRP setting by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases. Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgement in planning and delivering care. Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education. Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience. Supervise assigned personnel to ensure quality patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Oregon licensure required upon hire. NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification required. STABLE certification preferred. 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and infant stabilization. Experience circulating on C-sections. Why ARMStaffing?
