Structural Design Engineer
to support cutting-edge nuclear projects. This is a
full-time, remote role
within the United States.
ANSYS expertise is required , and prior U.S. commercial nuclear experience and heavy industry background will only be considered.
Job Title:
Structural Design Engineer - Remote (U.S.) Salary:
$120,000 - $140,000/year Type:
Full-Time Position Summary: Apply technical knowledge and reasoning to perform civil structural analysis and design of Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related structures. Candidates should have a strong design background and be proficient in structural concrete and steel analysis and design. Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferred
Minimum 8 years of structural design experience (nuclear or heavy industry)
Mandatory ANSYS expertise ; LS-DYNA preferred
Strong knowledge of concrete and steel structural design and analysis
Familiarity with ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 7, IBC, AISC N690, Steel Construction Manual, Seismic Design Manual
Computer programming skills (Python or Matlab) preferred but not required
PE license strongly preferred
Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
Adherence to safety culture and quality assurance standards (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ASME NQA-1)
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related structures using ANSYS and other structural engineering tools
Perform post-processing of analytical results for various material types (concrete, steel, etc.)
Interact with multi-disciplinary teams and structural engineering consultants
Develop and review requirements documents, methodology documents, design reports, and studies
Lead supplier oversight and review technical information (drawings, reports, specifications, calculations) to ensure compliance
Mentor junior team members and take technical lead as needed
Communicate with contractors and regulatory bodies as required Why Join Us:
