Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced
Fitter Welder
to join a Sapulpa-based steel fabrication team. The
Fitter Welder
will be responsible for layout, cutting, and multi-pass welding on structural steel components while ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Observe all standard safety practices and follow OSHA guidelines.
Lay out and cut materials to prepare for the final product.
Position pieces into jigs, holding fixtures, and guides using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Perform final welds and/or multi-pass welds, including Flux Fill and Cap using the 2G Plate Test.
Lay out and mark weld points on parts for accuracy.
Maintain and complete all required records and documentation.
Participate in safety initiatives and committees.
Assist in training other employees on new tasks when needed.
Requirements
Must be able to pass a
2G Plate Test – Flux Fill and Cap .
Prior welding and fitting experience required.
Strong ability to read blueprints and follow precise measurements.
Comfortable working with jigs, fixtures, and hand tools.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
