Chief of Geriatric Medicine Opportunity
Prisma Health and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine are excited to invite applications for the position of Chief of Geriatric Medicine. We are seeking candidates who are Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with specialty certification in Geriatrics. Ideal candidates will possess significant clinical and academic expertise in Geriatric Medicine, along with proven leadership capabilities.
Qualified candidates with relevant experience and passion for Geriatrics will also have the opportunity to contribute to our newly established Brain Health Institute. This initiative is generously funded through state grants and aims to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on various clinical and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities of the Chief:
Lead outpatient geriatric primary care and ambulatory consultative services, while actively expanding an inpatient presence.
Provide high-quality education to medical students, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents, as well as Geriatrics fellows.
Drive growth and enhance the quality of the division's clinical services and educational missions.
Hold an academic appointment with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, based on experience.
