About the job Electric Motor Mechanic / Winder
Summary The Electric Motor Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, and testing a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment, including AC/DC motors, generators, pumps, and gearboxes. This role ensures repairs are completed accurately and safely, following OEM, EASA, and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and test electrical and mechanical equipment, including AC/DC motors, generators, pumps, and gearboxes Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, high-pot testers, growlers, micrometers, and calipers to ensure accurate measurements and troubleshooting Conduct failure analysis, document findings, and follow proper procedures for part identification and reassembly Perform in-house and on-site repairs while adhering to OEM, EASA, and customer specifications Maintain accurate records of testing, troubleshooting, and final quality checks Follow all mechanical and electrical safety practices Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial electric motor repair or relevant training (EASA or military experience acceptable) Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic with industrial electric motors (automotive motor experience not acceptable) Strong skills in diagnostics, repair, and mechanical/electrical safety practices Nice to Have
