Overview
As an Environmental Engineer you will be primarily responsible for ensuring daily compliance for EBQP's air program. This includes duties such as: Monitoring compliance with the facility operating permit
Preparation of comprehensive state and federal reports Possess an understanding of air dispersion modeling Database management utilizing Microsoft Access and other software Detailed review and oversight of record-keeping requirements Review of new and proposed work tasks and equipment affecting air emissions in addition to a wide variety of other environmental engineering subject matters The candidate must be a self-starter, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be very effective in writing and communicating. Daily interface with Operations, Management, the customer and regulatory personnel is critical to ensuring the success of the compliance program and the effective resolution to problems. The candidate will also be expected to provide general support and assistance to fellow engineers whose primary role is to oversee water and waste management activities. Candidate must be highly motivated, require little supervision, and have a minimum of two years technical experience in environmental engineering preferably in air compliance. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related 0-5 years of professional engineering experience Preferred: Experience in air dispersion modelling Working knowledge of environmental regulations Skills
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to complete work accurately - attention to detail is essential. A team attitude and be willing and capable to work well with other team members and other organizations. Candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, and data analysis techniques.
