is hiring for the position of

Technical Editor II . The selected candidate will oversee the preparation, editing, and review of technical documentation in support of C4ISR or similar defense systems. The individual ensures all documentation, procedures, and guidelines are clear, accurate, and compliant with Government and organizational standards.

This is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities: Create, edit, and review technical manuals, reports, procedures, and other documentation related to C4ISR or similar systems. Ensure all technical materials are accurate, consistent, and meet applicable military and industry documentation standards. Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and subject matter experts to clarify technical content and ensure accuracy. Manage document workflows, including drafting, revisions, quality assurance, and publication. Supervise and provide guidance to technical writers, editors, and documentation staff. Coordinate editing schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure deliverables meet deadlines and quality expectations. Review graphics, tables, and data for consistency with accompanying text. Implement and maintain style guides, templates, and editorial standards across all documentation. Conduct final reviews to verify compliance with DoD, U.S. Navy, and program-specific documentation requirements. Provide editorial feedback and training to improve team performance and document quality.

Minimum Qualifications: Three (3) years of experience creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation, procedures, or guidelines for C4ISR or similar systems. Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of technical writing, editing, and documentation standards. Experience reviewing engineering and system-related content for accuracy, clarity, and compliance. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing editorial staff or technical documentation projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other document management and publishing software. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
