Chapel Hill, NC . This full-time, onsite role is dedicated to providing exemplary care to adult patients with lymphedema, promoting functional recovery and enhancing quality of life through evidence-based, patient-centric interventions. Our clinic emphasizes

60-minute, one-on-one treatment sessions , which allows for personalized care, thorough clinical assessment, and strong therapeutic relationships with our patients. You'll collaborate with a team of experienced professionals and contribute to an environment rooted in excellence, equity, and compassion. Academic and Quality Improvement Involvement:

Participate in clinical education, department initiatives, and quality improvement projects that enhance care delivery and improve patient outcomes.

Core Responsibilities: Patient Care:

Perform thorough evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans for adults with lymphedema. Manual Therapy & Compression Techniques:

Implement complete decongestive therapy (CDT) and other relevant modalities to manage swelling and enhance mobility while reducing the risk of complications. Documentation & Planning:

Maintain precise documentation, track patient progress, and adapt care plans based on clinical assessments and patient feedback. Clinical Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure coordinated care and maximize functional outcomes. Student Supervision:

Assist in fostering a learning environment by mentoring physical therapy students and engaging in clinical education initiatives as needed. Professional Development:

Engage in department meetings, educational sessions, and continuous learning opportunities to uphold best practices and licensure standards. Community Advocacy:

Act as a clinical resource and participate in outreach initiatives aimed at improving access to care and health equity for lymphedema patients. Why UNC Health? Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Adaptable and flexible schedule Onsite at the Center for Rehabilitation Care, Chapel Hill, NC Additional Information: Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina. BLS Professional Experience Requirements: No prior experience required.
