About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Lead Project Manager with a specialty in dewatering services to oversee operations in construction dewatering, groundwater control, and water treatment system design. This role involves collaborating with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to deliver efficient and compliant solutions for extensive infrastructure and remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the design and engineering of dewatering and groundwater control systems, including vacuum, wellpoint, and deep-well systems. Create project-specific design calculations, drawings, and specifications for system layouts, hydraulic analysis, and treatment configurations. Coordinate with construction, fabrication, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution from concept through commissioning. Analyze geotechnical and hydrogeologic data to inform system design and installation methods. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to the engineering team and junior staff. Act as the primary technical contact for clients, presenting design concepts and conveying complex engineering information clearly. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. Support business development through proposal preparation, technical presentations, and scope definition. Collaborate with senior leadership on continuous improvement initiatives and strategic growth of the dewatering services division. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 5 years focused on dewatering, groundwater management, or heavy construction involving deep excavations and tunneling. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, vacuum applications, and soil-fluid interactions. Proficiency with AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling, and related engineering software tools. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities, a focus on mentorship, and technical collaboration. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound business judgment. Preferred Background: Ideal candidates will have a blend of civil, geotechnical, and environmental expertise. Experience in remediation contracting, groundwater treatment, or environmental engineering is highly valued.
