As a UNIX Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in designing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining UNIX operating system environments including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), HP-UX, and Solaris. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing backup processes, disk space allocations, and ensuring robust security measures across our systems. Key Responsibilities: Execute Red Hat installations and configurations in cloud environments. Manage filesystems efficiently to ensure optimal performance. Offer technical support and guidance to team members. Monitor operating systems, hardware, storage resources, and backup procedures. Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution, designing improvements for efficiency. Engineer redundant systems and develop disaster recovery and data archiving policies. Participate in project analysis including feasibility studies and scope planning. Conduct UNIX authentication and security audits, implementing necessary solutions. Maintain open communication with users regarding the status of service requests. Assist data owners in long-term strategic planning for operating system versions. Additional Duties: Design complex IT infrastructures and conduct thorough evaluations of technology tools. Manage unique user requests for systems upgrades or solutions requiring in-depth research. Implement and administer advanced applications and conduct rigorous system tests. Perform regular backups and manage data recovery processes as needed. Engage in root cause analysis and diagnostics for complex production systems. Collaborate with team members to identify process improvement opportunities. Participate actively in planning and integrating new technologies within existing infrastructures. Evaluate new platforms and conduct cost analysis for proposed upgrades. Create and maintain relevant systems documentation and user guides. Mentor junior team members, providing expertise in troubleshooting challenging problems. Utilize scripting methodologies to automate various tasks. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of seven years of systems administration experience with UNIX operating systems (RHEL, Solaris, HP-UX). Five years of experience in disaster recovery and data replication. Five years of hands-on troubleshooting and patching experience. Five years of experience with UNIX server clustering, load balancing, and virtualization. Security Clearance: Currently possess an Active Secret level clearance. Sensitivity Level: IT-I Critical Sensitive. Certifications: IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent). Relevant RHCSA or CompTIA Linux+ certification from a recognized authority. DLA CE Cert IA Role/Function: Server Admin UNIX/Linux Operating System. Other Desired Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and products (Windows, Windows Servers, Office365, SharePoint, Teams). Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system-related issues. Strong communication skills for effectively conveying technical information to non-technical users. Exceptional customer service aptitude. Proficient experience with cloud infrastructure and digital workspace technologies. Compensation:

Compensation ranges for positions may vary; the range for this role is approximately $78,500 to $132,000, based on various factors including location, experience, and qualifications.
