As a Procurement Specialist II, you will play a vital role in our organization by drafting, creating, and issuing project-specific purchase orders and subcontracts following the approval of requisitions. Your strong communication skills will be essential as you interact with vendors to develop contract documents, ensuring that terms and conditions are clear and mutually beneficial. You will collaborate with procurement leadership to negotiate contracts as necessary and adhere to company processes and systems to streamline procurement tasks and functions. Location:
This position is available at one of our office locations: Fargo, ND; Indianapolis, IN; Clinton, IN; or Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities: Draft and create purchase orders and subcontracts with all necessary terms and conditions. Utilize company templates to develop Subcontracts and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) for assigned projects. Verify requisition data and address any ambiguities through clear communication with relevant parties. Generate contracts independently while adhering to best practices and master agreements. Identify and address contract deviations, assisting with vendor negotiations as needed. Collaborate with various departments (legal, insurance, etc.) to capture all vendor requirements effectively. Adhere to procurement guidelines while providing input for process improvements. Monitor purchase order and change order processes to ensure timely approvals and execution. Assist in the creation and analysis of procurement key performance indicators. Maintain accurate information in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Communicate essential information with procurement coordinators and accounting. Support project closeout activities through administrative duties. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or construction management preferred. Three to five years of experience in procurement or a relevant business field. Experience in the commercial construction/EPC industry and/or supply chain is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Commitment to health and safety in the workplace adhering to our Zero Injury principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated understanding of procurement practices and contract creation. Negotiation skills for contracts and terms prior to execution. Familiarity with procurement and ERP software systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe Pro). Effective time management, capable of operating under pressure. Decisive with advanced problem-solving skills. Working Environment: This role involves some exposure to hazards at job sites; adhering to safety protocols is mandatory.
