Electronics Assembler
in
Greenlawn, NY
for a
6-month contract-to-hire
position. This hands-on role supports production and prototype builds of
electronic and mechanical assemblies , working from technical drawings and specifications in a precision manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
Minimum
2 years of assembly experience
in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing Proficiency in
soldering
and rework per
IPC-A-610
and
J-STD-001
standards Skilled in the use of
hand and power tools , jigs, and assembly fixtures Ability to read and interpret
work plans, schematics, and engineering drawings Experience performing
continuity checks
on in-process and completed assemblies Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and workmanship standards Effective communication and teamwork skills in a production environment Preferred Skills
Previous experience in
aerospace or defense
manufacturing environments Knowledge of
surface mount and through-hole soldering
techniques Familiarity with
ESD handling procedures
and cleanroom requirements Ability to perform basic
rework, modification, and testing
on electronic assemblies Responsibilities
Assemble and integrate
electronic and mechanical subassemblies
such as circuit cards, panels, cables, and frames Perform
soldering, wiring, and mechanical fastening
in accordance with technical instructions and quality standards Inspect assemblies for workmanship and
conduct continuity or functional checks Document production data accurately and report issues to leads or supervisors Support
rework and modification efforts
for prototypes and test articles Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with all safety and ESD policies Education
High school diploma or equivalent
required On-the-job
soldering training or certification (IPC/J-STD)
preferred
