Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Heavy Civil Construction Project Leader to spearhead complex infrastructure projects, including site work, utilities, excavation, roadway construction, and various types of Earth Support. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, adeptly managing multiple projects and trades, expertly pricing change orders, interpreting technical drawings, and overseeing all phases of project execution from preconstruction to closeout. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the Estimating department for effective buyouts of material suppliers and subcontractors. Thoroughly review and comprehend all project documents, drawings, and specifications. Participate in project meetings with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment. Submit and track all submittals, ensuring timely delivery and approval for project efficiency. Prepare and submit monthly requisitions to manage cash flow effectively. Work alongside accounting to approve and sign all incoming invoices for accuracy. Maintain and update project schedules monthly using Microsoft Project and Primavera, ensuring all projects are on track. Integrate the safety department fully into each job site, upholding all safety protocols diligently. Perform detailed job costing and maintain accurate financial tracking to ensure project profitability throughout the lifecycle. Utilize construction management software effectively, including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Sage 300 CRE, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite. Additional Duties Coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance. Manage RFIs, subcontracts, and purchase orders efficiently for project clarity. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety measures. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and field personnel to foster a collaborative environment. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout the project. Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall project success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management. Strong understanding of site development, excavation, utilities, and infrastructure projects. Proven ability to manage budgets, project schedules, and comprehensive documentation. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills to lead diverse teams effectively. OSHA certification and familiarity with safety protocols are preferred.
