Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position, requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience and a valid NH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit with primarily medical patient cases Patients include those with acute and chronic illnesses such as sepsis, kidney disease, diabetes, GI issues, respiratory illnesses, substance misuse, and liver disease Unit serves as a nationally recognized center for adult Cystic Fibrosis patient admissions 36-bed and 25-bed units with a diverse medical patient population Position requires day/night rotation shifts at 36 hours per week Telemetry monitoring and care required on the unit Daily responsibilities include caring for a variety of acute and chronic medical patients Team-oriented environment with focus on complex medical needs and specialty cases Care for post-surgical patients including lines, tubes, and drains Compliance with trauma-level standards and requirements for care Candidates must maintain an active license throughout the assignment
Requirements Active NH or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma setting Proficiency with chest tubes, trachs/laryngectomies, central lines, complex wounds, drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines/tubes/drains, and telemetry Must live more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
