Contact Service Specialist
opportunity with a
nationally recognized healthcare system that combines cutting-edge medical innovation
with compassionate, patient-centered care, offering rewarding career growth in a supportive environment.

Length of assignment: 7 ** -month contract with potential to convert to FTE.
**
Contact Service Specialist ** responsible for the specific duties listed below.
**
Your specific duties will include: **
Answering phone calls and electronic requests with professionalism and empathy.
Registering new patients accurately and on time.
Correcting and updating missing or inaccurate information in the EMR.
Verifying insurance coverage or explaining self-pay requirements.
Scheduling appointments based on patient needs, physician orders, and system guidelines.
Arranging financial counseling appointments when appropriate.
Communicating appointment details, preparation instructions, paperwork, and payment information.
Routing patient messages to the appropriate staff (administrative or clinical).
Identifying urgent situations and ensuring immediate triage.

Required qualifications for the position include ** :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of PSS or CCS training program and competency exam (required to maintain position).
Strong customer service background - call center or healthcare experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in data entry, typing, numeric accuracy, and computer navigation.

Preferred qualifications for the position include ** :
Familiarity with medical terminology.
Prior healthcare call center experience.
Stable work history (contract experience must be clearly stated).

Pay Rate: ** $17.50 per hour.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, as well as a 401(k) plan.
