Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for an Oracle Developer to support one of our federal partners on a hybrid schedule in Merrifield, VA. The Oracle Developer will join a collaborative team supporting core engineering systems, including automation, logistics, and tracking platforms. Responsibilities for the Oracle Developer include: Support and maintain enterprise applications built on ASP/IIS, Java, and WebSphere platforms. Develop and optimize PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database objects to improve performance and reliability. Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning using tools like SQL Tuning Advisor, Explain Plan, and ADDM. Collaborate with software engineers and analysts to support the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. Write and maintain shell scripts for automation tasks in Unix/Linux environments. Manage source control using Git or Subversion and follow best practices for versioning and deployment. Document technical processes and provide support for production issues in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Qualifications for the Oracle Developer include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 7+ years of experience in software development and Oracle database engineering. Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL, SQL optimization, and database maintenance. Familiarity with ASP, IIS, Java, Eclipse, and WebSphere. Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting and system-level database management. Experience with source control tools such as Git or SVN. Bonus skills: VB.NET, C#, C++, Classic ASP, Perl scripting. Must be eligible to work in the United States and able to pass a background investigation. Compensation for the Oracle Developer includes: Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 depending on experience.
