ASM is launching a strategically focused Indirect Sourcing team aimed at driving efficiencies, delivering commercial value, and scaling globally. As a Senior Commodity Specialist, you will lead sourcing initiatives across multiple indirect categories, such as engineering, facilities, human resources, information technology and metrology. This collaboration partners with cross‑functional teams to define strategies, develop internal processes, and manage supplier relationships in support of ASM’s growth.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing projects across a wide range of indirect categories including site facilities, metrology lab tools and services, engineering support, information technology, and human resource services.

Drive commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, favorable terms and conditions, and comprehensive service‑level agreements. Collaborate with legal counsel to influence, finalize contracts and ensure compliance.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, develop comprehensive sourcing strategies, and align supplier engagement plans.

Act as a commercial lead for sourcing activities tied to ASM’s new Scottsdale facility, proactively engaging suppliers and executing contracts.

Contribute to the development of sourcing processes, tools, and systems to establish scalable global business processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that support business objectives in cost, quality, lead time, compliance, sustainability and scalability.

Monitor and manage supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness. Implement improvement plans and ensure adherence to KPIs.

Assess supply risks and execute mitigation strategies including dual sourcing, capacity planning, and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, or commodity management (experience driving indirect sourcing projects is a plus).

Proven success in managing complex sourcing projects within the semiconductor field, including facilities, metrology, engineering and semi gas/chemical categories (experience in these areas is a plus).

Demonstrated excellence in negotiation and contract management, with a track record of securing favorable terms and conditions and building long‑term supplier partnerships.

Proficiency in sourcing tools and ERP systems, especially SAP.

Demonstrates independence and agility in managing multiple priorities within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Brings a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability.

Comfortable with generating PowerPoint presentations, crafting a message and clearly delivering the message to multiple levels across an organization, confident communication.

Must be very organized, attention to detail oriented, data driven, adaptable and positive with a team‑oriented attitude.
