Join Our Dynamic Team as an Electromechanical Technician at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton Division
Are you passionate about tackling mechanical and electrical challenges? If you are a hands-on problem solver, we want you on our team! As an Electromechanical Technician, you will be crucial in ensuring our production operates seamlessly. You will engage with a variety of equipment and systems, such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and PC-based systems, while also assisting with general building maintenance.
Education & Experience Required:
We prefer candidates with an Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a closely related field, but relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure efficient equipment performance.
Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns effectively.
Install and commission new machinery and systems.
Manage conduit running, cable tray installation, and wire pulling.
Install and maintain electrical drives, motors, and control systems.
Troubleshoot and program PLCs for optimal operation.
Replace and install lighting fixtures as needed.
Carry out general maintenance tasks to support building operations.
Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
What We Seek:
Exceptional troubleshooting skills coupled with manual dexterity.
Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints accurately.
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including AC, DC, low voltage, and 480V equipment.
Previous experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Comfortable with heights and using ladders and aerial platforms.
Effective communication and strong organizational skills.
Basic proficiency in computer applications.
Capacity to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
A keen sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail.
Work Schedule:
This position primarily operates on the 3rd shift, from Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6 AM.
Initial training period for up to the first 120 days will be on the day shift, Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 2 PM.
Overtime and weekend work may be necessary on occasion.
