The Role
As Head of Consumer Acquisition, you'll own AlterMe's growth engine. This is a player-coach role: you'll be deeply hands-on in driving digital acquisition while also leading a high-performing marketing team. You'll bring both strategic vision and tactical execution, scaling our customer base, expanding revenue, and strengthening the AlterMe brand.
Responsibilities Digital Acquisition Leadership Own and optimize performance marketing campaigns across paid social, search, and emerging channels. Own organic social and online community reputation and growth. Drive funnel optimization from awareness to conversion. Develop and execute growth experiments to scale efficiently. Product Positioning Create stories and brand narratives that improve marketing performance, attract the ideal customer audience and differentiate AlterMe. Clearly define and communicate the benefits of the AlterMe program across all channels. Lifecycle Marketing Build and refine multi-channel lifecycle programs (email, SMS, push, social) to maximize engagement, retention, and LTV. Partner with product and sales to align messaging and customer experience. Revenue Ownership Deliver e-commerce revenue growth, hitting aggressive acquisition and retention targets. Monitor and report on key marketing KPIs, CAC, ROAS, and LTV. Team Building & Leadership Recruit, mentor, and lead a small but mighty marketing team. Act as both strategist and executor, rolling up your sleeves when needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with sales, especially our inside sales and call center teams, ensuring marketing drives qualified leads and conversions. Work with product and creative teams to ensure brand consistency and innovation. Requirements
7+ years of experience in consumer marketing, with at least 3-4 years in direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses. Proven track record of scaling acquisition channels and delivering revenue growth. Strong expertise in digital acquisition (paid media, funnel optimization, attribution). Experience with lifecycle marketing tools and strategies. Understanding of conversion rate optimization techniques and online a/b testing platforms. Comfortable working with inside sales or call center teams (preferred but not required). Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and testing skills. Currently a Director or Senior Director ready to step into a VP-level role. The ideal hire is based in the Salt Lake City metro area and can regularly work from the Lehi, UT office, but remote considered for highly qualified candidates.
