Sheriff's Office Senior Account Clerk

Salary: $64,679.85 - $78,621.81 Annually

As a Sheriff's Office Senior Account Clerk, you will be responsible for:

• Performing monthly bank reconciliations and reconciling internal financial records with County systems

• Posting payments and preparing deposits

• Preparing invoices and processing journal vouchers

• Following up on past-due accounts

• Issuing refunds

• Coordinating travel arrangements for staff, including booking and logistics

• Processing travel reimbursements in compliance with County policies and procedures

• Reconciling monthly CalCard statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission

• Serving as back-up support to the other Senior Account Clerk in the unit

The ideal candidate is a team player who is approachable, courteous, and dependable, and will also possess many of the following:

• Proficiency in Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial software and fund accounting

• An interest in working in public service and the accounting field

• An ability to address competing priorities and provide exemplary customer service, while consistently shifting focus throughout the day

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, managers, and other agency personnel

• The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships

• Intellectual curiosity and an attitude that prioritizes problem solving

• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
