Description

The primary purpose of the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable, Federal, State and Local standards, guidelines and regulations. Follows established policies and procedures of WTRC, and as directed by the supervisor, ensures that a successful facilities program is maintained at all times.

• Follow maintenance schedule.

• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc.

• Repair facility or equipment as needed.

• Provide basic maintenance services for plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed.

• Replace light bulbs as needed.

• Performs boiler maintenance.

• Routinely checks all air and exhaust vents throughout buildings.

• Periodically cleans exterior as needed.

• Performs ballast replacement, remodeling, and painting as needed.

• Provides landscaping maintenance (mow, trim hedges, water, etc.) on a regular basis.

• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions.

• Maintains general plant and facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment.

• Reports unsafe/hazardous conditions and defective equipment to the supervisor.

• Maintains infection control and universal precautions when performing all tasks.

• Keeps the supervisor updated on equipment and/or supply needs.

• Assists others with heavy lifting and the rearranging of furniture as needed.

• Builds and repairs equipment.

• Constructs adaptive equipment.

• Keeps shop area safe and clean.

Perform routine maintenance on swimming pools

• Accepts other assignments as directed.

This position requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours and the ability to perform essential functions without posing a "direct threat" in the workplace. Must be able to lift 80 pounds.

Requirements

This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. On the job training is provided. Must be able to communicate effectively, and possess the ability to make independent decisions, multitask, and follow instructions. Required skills: general construction skills; able to operate hand tools; basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing. Must have a valid drivers license, and a vehicle. Must have endurance for physical labor.
