Responsibilities
As a
Senior Systems Engineer , you will lead and guide engineering teams in a multi-disciplinary approach encompassing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis. Your work will span the
National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) ,
Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) , and Federal Agencies to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of
Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) . Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor Mid-level and Junior-level Systems Engineers across all engineering disciplines including requirements, solutions, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, testing, maintainability, and analysis within NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies. Guide planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, architectures, procedures, and problem resolution to enhance or automate systems; review cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling.
Oversee development of solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.
Assist the Government in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and solutions.
Support the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and executing programs.
Perform systems integration activities.
Conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments to inform decision-making.
Assist with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Operate at an enterprise level, integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational and agency boundaries.

Required QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree or higher in
Systems Engineering
or related technical/scientific fields such as
Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems , or a related STEM degree program.
Equivalent Experience:
4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for no degree, or 2 additional years may substitute for a non-STEM degree.
Experience
12+ years of experience in government or industry supporting areas including
DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Process ,
Requirements Process ,
Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES) Process , or systems engineering of large, complex
Systems of Systems (SoS)
or
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
environments deployed in
cloud ,
on-premise , or
hybrid
infrastructures.
12+ years comprehensive understanding of the
systems engineering lifecycle .
Demonstrated knowledge of current
NSG/ASG
and
NRO
enterprises.
Previous experience on
NGA and/or NSG/ASG
programs or projects.
Previous work supporting
IC
or
DoD
programs or projects.
Security Clearance
Active
TS/SCI
clearance or the ability to obtain
SCI
and successfully complete a polygraph.
Desired QualificationsAdvanced Education & Certifications
Master's degree in
Systems Engineering
or a related technical/scientific STEM field.
INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
certification.
Licensure as a
Professional Engineer .
Technical Expertise
Working knowledge of
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
processes, tools, and languages.
Working knowledge of

Familiarity with
Software Development Frameworks .
Documented experience in the
geospatial intelligence

Professional Engagement
Membership or leadership in professional organizations such as

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
