Work Shifts 8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.M 12:00 A.M - 8:00 A.M Key Responsibilities As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in our leadership team. Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Nursing, your contributions will include: Assisting in the development of nursing policies, objectives, and standards. Helping prepare budgets for personnel, supplies, and equipment. Supporting the development of administrative procedures and patient care programs. Overseeing nursing services in a major clinical division or home health agency, including patient transfer processes. Facilitating the planning and execution of nursing education programs. Assuming leadership for evening and night nursing services as needed. Guiding the work of Nurse Supervisors. Compiling and presenting daily and periodic reports related to staff and patient management. Participating in the implementation and oversight of a quality assurance program for nursing. Chairs regular staff meetings focused on nursing personnel. Evaluating nursing services through rounds, chart reviews, and patient care assessments. Minimum Qualifications Current licensure as a professional nurse in New York State. Masters Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, Clinical Specialty, or a related field, along with five years of nursing experience (three of which must be in a supervisory or teaching role); or a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with six years of experience, four of which should be in a supervisory or teaching capacity. A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience is acceptable, though all candidates must hold valid RN credentials in New York State.
