$18.00 to $22.00/ per hour, DOE
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Established in 1913, Electric Motor Shop & Supply is a premier electrical contractor, motor repair shop and electrical supply wholesale distributor. The Electric Motor Shop's state of the art repair facility offers all levels of motor and pump repair, service and rewinding, with 24-hour service availability. Our supply division has one of the largest stocking warehouses in Central California. We also have a fully licensed professional contracting division capable of providing service for small to large industrial projects, including custom panel design and installation, PLC programming, AC drives, and transformer installations.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include working closely with the Office Lead and the Branch Manager to ensure a consistent standard of customer service. This position requires promptly and courteously answering phones, directing calls as appropriate, confirming and monitoring purchase orders for accuracy and timeliness, tracking freight and related charges, and performing additional administrative and support tasks as needed.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promptly answer all incoming calls in a polite and friendly manner and efficiently direct them to the appropriate individuals.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all assigned duties.
Match daily supplier packing slips and invoices against purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
Review and acknowledge all purchase order confirmations, drop-ship confirmations, and freight charge verifications; assist with supplier returns.
Record and maintain notes on purchase orders, including expected lead times, freight charges, and other pertinent details.
Identify and communicate supplier changes in expected delivery or promise dates to the appropriate personnel.
File completed supplier purchase orders, packing slips, and customer proof of deliveries accurately and in a timely manner.
Accurately record and manage detailed information obtained from customer calls.
Maintain professional and positive relationships with suppliers and customers to promote a favorable company image and assist in resolving issues or complaints promptly.
Support other special projects, implementations, and assigned tasks as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all verbal and written customer information.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
High School Diploma and one to two years of related CSR experience.
Experience managing multi-line phone systems and handling multiple calls simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Willingness to participate in drug, alcohol, and background screening.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and competing demands.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive customer situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of company personnel.
