Job Description Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer with a solid background in metal stamping and robotic welding. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of responding effectively to customer concerns and internal quality issues. Key Responsibilities: Conduct initial analysis of non-conformities to provide immediate support to customers and propose corrective actions or temporary solutions that prevent production delays. Report and document non-conformities to ensure timely resolution in alignment with customer expectations. Perform technical visits to customer locations to maintain strong relationships and address quality concerns efficiently. When authorized, recover or sort non-conforming parts directly at the customer site to avoid returns. Generate detailed reports on customer complaints and actively participate in identifying and implementing effective solutions. Comply with internal policies and quality, environmental, health, and safety management systems. Uphold legal, ethical, and procedural standards when interacting with suppliers, external agencies, and partners. Required Skills and Knowledge: Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Email. Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Familiar with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and VDA 6 standards. Working knowledge of customer-specific quality requirements. Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams. Proficient in English (written and verbal). Preferred Skills: Familiarity with the following quality tools and systems: APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) MSA (Measurement System Analysis) SPC (Statistical Process Control) QSA (Quality System Assessment) FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) VSM (Value Stream Mapping) ERP systems experience Knowledge of critical incident response processes and customer-specific standards Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering, Management, or a related field. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 2 years in the automotive industry preferred. Prior Quality Engineer experience is a plus. Experience working in organizations with a strong safety culture is an asset.
